Dual ImageIt’s important when building your wardrobe to not only invest in staple pieces, but to invest in pieces that can create multiple outfits.  When I initially came across the Witchery Summer Shirt Dress I had visions of it worn as a beautiful lightweight jacket over blue denim and nude strappy sandals through the day, and ultra skinny black pants, a red lip and sky high heels at night.

When I thought further about what was in my wardrobe I realised there were multiple outfits that could be created from such a simple yet stylish piece.  I’ll be wearing mine buttoned over jeans or slimline pants with a ultra skinny belt, over ponte leggings with knee high or ankle boots and my fedora in Winter, and to the beach over my bikini.  There are at least 5 outfits all created using existing pieces in my wardrobe.  Now I haven’t opted to wear this piece as a dress without a pant as it’s a little too short for me because of my height, however some of you will be able to benefit from this option too.

If you make the item work for you it costs virtually next to nothing once you divide it cost per wear, cost per outfit……magic!  These are two of my outfit options that everyone can easily recreate.
